Cape Jervis Station Implements POS System to Streamline Cafe/Room Bookings
Cape Jervis Station on Main South Road is set out in a beautiful rural setting. Settled in the 1840’s, it was and still is an operating sheep station. They have accommodation ranging from campsites, self-contained cabins through to premium cottages. When it came time to implement a Point of Sale and Business Management System into their business, Cape Jervis Station chose POSWise, the Affordable Point of Sale System.
Owners Sally Miles and her daughter Sam Frost wanted a system to help them manage their busy accommodation business, together with the growing trade in their café/restaurant. The system had to be able to take bookings for the rooms, manage the restaurant, and easily transfer bills that were run up in the restaurant to the client’s room. The system also needed to be capable of creating bills to third party booking agents, and keeping track of any outstandings. The system also needed to be easy to use.
Cape Jervis Station now uses POSWise software, running on POS2020 touch-screen terminals, with Epson kitchen and receipt printers.
Sam, Sally and their staff started using the system after Adelaide POS Systems installed and configured the system for them. After a short period of training, the team at Cape Jervis were proficient in no time. Sam says:
