Seven Day Supermarket Buys POS & Gets Loyalty System As Bonus
Simon’s Seven Day Supermarket is a general retail outlet, providing a range of grocery, fruit and veg, delicatessen and hot food products. Simon Molyneux is the owner of the business, which was started in Salisbury, SA in 1984. The business is part of the Shop Friendly Group Co-operative, and Simon is the Chairman of this group. When it came time to implement a Point of Sale and Business Management System into their store, Simon’s Seven Day chose POSWise, the Affordable Point of Sale System.
There were a number of key decision criteria which Simon considered when making his decision. A key consideration of the selected solution was the capability to manage sales and customer accounts. The system also needed to support customer loyalty, not only to reward customers for repeat purchases at the stores, but also to facilitate marketing campaigns to those customers. Finally, an accurate and easy to use stock management system which would track purchases, sales and any adjustments of the key product lines to enhance the reduction of wastage and improved profitability, was considered crucial.
Simon’s Seven Day Supermarket now uses POSWise software, running on POS2030 touch-screen terminals, with barcode scanner and receipt printer. The system had to be easy to use, and Simon is delighted that his staff have picked it up very quickly—including being able to manage the loyalty program as well as customer accounts.
The system was implemented in February 2012. When asked about why he chose Adelaide POS systems and the POSWise Point of Sale solution, Simon said
It just makes our job so much easier and everything we do is now more accurate. Adelaide POS systems have been very easy to deal with. Whether it’s support for our hardware, network, internet or the software itself, their level of support has been top-shelf. If someone was thinking of putting in a POS system, I’d recommend POSWise from Adelaide POS Systems
